Women Empowerment
Strong determination and willingness to do something constructive for the society had made this group stand apart. "We began a ' Sahavichar Kendra ' ( i.e. Centre for Thought Sharing') in order to create awareness among women in the areas like Education, Health , Self Esteem, Independence and to provide moral values for the growing children. It was an informal way to educate the village women. We began by thinking what can be done for our growth? What can we do as a group? Etc. In order to eliminate the torture and the atrocities against the against the village woman it was a must to empower her. Such a woman would then become the backbone of her family and the society as well. This is how, in 1989, ' Anyaaya Nivaran Samiti ' ( A committee to eradicate Injustice ) came into existence.Women can understand another woman better; hence the activities framed are very effective and much required by all.
